De Vranja is grown for its prolific fruiting qualities. The fruit are of good quality and are enormous. The skin is smooth and yellow and the flesh is aromatic. When cooked the tart flesh will turn pale pink and is ideal for quince paste, jellies and jams and quince paste.

 

This deciduous tree has an upright spreading habit of medium vigour. The tree has an ornamental quality, with slightly twisting branches and attractive fragrant, pale pink blossom. Fruit are formed on two-year old wood.
