Malus 'Strawberry Parfait'

A wide spreading, small, deciduous tree. Noted for its two-toned blossom.

In early Spring, bright pink buds open to large, single, pale-pink flowers edged with hot pink. The two-toned flowers set against the new foliage adds a vibrancy to this tree. Flowers are also lightly fragranced.

Young foliage emerges purple-red, turning dark green with age. In Autumn, foliage and fruit are yellow-orange.

A vase shape when young, reaching a broad oval shape.

Tree Size:

Dwarf: Can be kept as small as 1.5 m, must be supported with a stake.

Semi-dwarfing: 5 m tall x 6 m wide

Crabapples are small trees that are hardy once established. Grow in full sun to part shade. Will grow well on most soils, but prefers a deep, moist, loamy soil.

Pruning requirements are minimal. Prune in winter to achieve a good shape in the early years.

Self-fertile.
