Ya Li Nashi

Asian Pear

Fruit ripening time: March - April

An excellent nashi, which is very juicy with a mildly sweet flavour and mild acid.

Fruit are medium in size and have a more pear-like shape than other Nashi varieties. The skin is an attractive light yellow-green and shiny. The flesh is white and is softer than other Nashis but is still crisp and has a fine texture.

Trees are vigorous and spreading. Will produce well once they reach fruit bearing age. Requires low chill hours.

Uses: Good fresh eating. Great for preserves, can be used in salads, baking, and juicing. Will store moderately well in the refrigerator.

Pollination Partner: 20th Century Nashi, Chojuro, Shinsui, Williams
