Cherry Rootstock

Suitable for grafting all sweet cherry (Prunus avium) and sour/pie cherry (Prunus cerasus) varieties and many ornamental cherry blossom varieties.

Cherry trees are naturally large trees, much larger than wild apple trees and there are fewer options available for dwarfing cherry trees for the home orchard.

Maple Grove Nursery is a production nursery and farm. We grow all our rootstock, and we are not a reseller. Once we have sold out of our rootstock, we will not have any more available until the following season. Please feel free to request a back in stock notification as this will alert you when we update our inventory in March and open for pre-harvest sales.

Please note: all percentages for mature tree size are given as a guide only and the eventual size of your grafted tree will be influenced by a number of factors, including the soil type and fertility, local climate conditions and the vigour of the scion wood cultivar.
