Apple Rootstock

Apple rootstock are suitable for grafting all fruiting apples and flowering Crabapples.

There are many options available for apple rootstock. These will determine the mature size of the tree, how long before the tree bears fruit, the soil type your tree will grow best in, and resistance to some root diseases.

The mature size* of each apple rootstock, compared to a seedling apple tree height. 
Staking is shown in the picture for all trees where support is required for the life of the tree.

The Minimum Order for Rootstock is a Quantity of 10 per Variety
Rootstock prices are listed as single units.
Rootstocks are posted bare rooted, from July to the 1st of September

Maple Grove Nursery is a production nursery and farm. We grow all our rootstock, and we are not a reseller. Once we have sold out of our rootstock, we will not have any more available until the following season. Please feel free to request a back in stock notification as this will alert you when we update our inventory in March and open for pre-harvest sales.

Please note: all percentages for mature tree size are given as a guide only and the eventual size of your grafted tree will be influenced by a number of factors, including the soil type and fertility, local climate conditions and the vigour of the scion wood cultivar.
