M27 Apple Rootstock

Super dwarfing reaching 20% of seedling tree size

Very dwarfing apple rootstock, which will produce a small tree that can be grown successfully in containers. Ideal for home gardens and small spaces. Trees grown on M27 roots will begin fruiting very early (2 years) and produce heavy crops (high yields). Suitable for high density plantings.

Trees will need minimal pruning, but will require irrigation and support (a stake or trellis).

To get the most out of your dwarf tree, reduce the weed competition around the base, mulch regularly, apply fertiliser and water well during dry periods.

Produces few suckers or burrknots.

Mature tree height: Approximately 1.5 meters (vase shape) – 2 meters (single leader)

Soil: Will grow in a wide variety of soils, as long as watering is optimal

Precocity: Very early

Support required: Yes

Available in two sizes:

Grafting Grade - ready to graft this winter

Liner Grade - to plant out and grow on for budding in summer, or grafting the following winter
